When heated in a wax burner, the salt crystals release the fragrance into the air. 

Pop a small amount in a clean, suitable wax melter,  and the salts will release their fragrance.

 Once you are ready to change the salts simply empty into your bin wipe with a dry cloth or paper towel and add new salts.
